HOUSTON, June 2, 2006 – Bridgeway is pleased to announce that vice president Blane Erwin will speak at the 2006 LegalTech West Coast Conference in Los Angeles. Erwin will discuss technology’s role in the changing landscape of corporate legal department performance.
Corporate legal departments face increased pressures driven by the weight of commodity lawsuits, an industry-wide move to electronic discovery, and the constant need to accomplish more with less. In response, they are adopting systems to automate processes, analyze risks, manage workflows and meet stringent compliance laws.
Erwin will present a more intelligent approach to an array of new technologies designed specifically for high-performance legal departments. He will be joined by Craig Miller, managing director of TMG Templates, who will review tools that help lawyers and claims managers quickly perform more consistent and accurate risk evaluations. According to Miller, “Creating a well documented and structured risk evaluation process helps law departments comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and other reporting requirements.”
Part of the Emerging Technologies Track, the session called “Take the Lead: Winning Technologies for High Performance Corporate Legal Departments” will take place from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2006. LegalTech West Coast is an annual industry conference hosted by ALM Events that draws about ten thousand attendees from the legal profession. Visit www.almevents.com for more information.
