August 19, 2004, Houston, TX – Bridgeway announced today that vice president Cathi Collins will speak at the 2004 Corporate Governance Conference in Chicago. Collins will discuss technology’s role in records retention policies under Sarbanes-Oxley.
Policies alone are not enough to ensure compliance with new regulatory and court requirements. Collins will cover how companies can build enforcement mechanics into their workflow and train employees to comply with stringent new laws. Without such measures, companies have been subject to heavy fines, loss of document privilege and even criminal prosecution. Collins will review the technology available to streamline data retention, preserve document authentication and adhere to chains of approval and custody.
The Illinois Law Bulletin and co-sponsor ACC Chicago Chapter will host the Corporate Governance Conference on September 15th at the University Club, 76 E. Monroe, Chicago (from 8:30 to 11:30 am). Bridgeway is also sponsoring the event. For more information, call 312.644.4639 or visit www.LawBulletin.com/lb_seminars.cfm.
